[Policy & Procedures] Patching in the Telephone

This is the first in a series of bits that will be posted to help you do your shows better. At the end of the semester these bits will be compiled into the new KRFH Policy and Procedures Manual. Please help the management by leaving comments
*************************************************

The Telco is used to patch a live phone call into the board. Once patched in, the caller will hear your voice through the microphone and the callers voice can be adjusted using the Telco 1 fader.

IMPORTANT!:
You are responsible for what is said by the caller. If you think that the caller may use profanity, warn them before going live on the air. If the caller says something that is inappropriate, immediately interrupt the caller to inform them that such language is unacceptable. If the caller persists in using foul language, cut them off.

To patch caller in:
Once a caller is on the phone, turn on the Gentner at the top of the rack using the power switch on the right.
Hang Up the phone.
Make sure Telco 1 (which is the leftmost fader) is in Pgm-1 and turn the volume up using the fader.
Turn on the mic and make sure the caller can hear you

To end the call:
Say thank you to the caller.
Pull the Telco 1 fader down.
TURN OFF THE GENTNER

Please be carreful with the power switch on the Gentner
Make sure that is OFF unless you are using it, otherwise no phone calls will come into the booth.
