Congrats to Danny Hernandez...brother picked up the 2 Valentine Rocky Horrow Show tix. He called when he was uh...putting the kiddies in the pool...no. uh....making a deposit...uh...yea?!
This was a great show. I went on the internet and played some mad underground tunes. people were loving it. i picked up some new music this weekend, big weekend. most calls i ever had on my show. is it the time, or the giveaway, or was it me? n e wayz...
This weekend was the kick off for The Longest Walk 2 at DQ University and at the bay. Very powerful occurences. I was there at Alcatraz Island for the sunrise ceremony, praying and giving thanx for the miracle of the sun rising, a ceremony as ancient as the earth herself. It was truly a blessing as holy men from japan brought out their drums and thumped out the heartbeat as medicines were burning to greet Tonatiuh the sun...it was a great day to be native...shit everyday's a great day to be native.
speaking of natives, i played some native hiphop from Savage Family. People loved "Lonely People" that sampled the Beatles song. Savage Fam is doing it big. Much palabra to teh folks. I played Antithesis, another native hiphop group.

I played a George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars cd autographed by Clinton himself. At the mateel, it was a fat show friday. Clinton was gonna autograph my shirt, but I want to wear it but he got a cd. I wasn't even gonna get the cd but signed it and handed it to me. Wonder if he knew it was me that interviewed him. Next week by the way, I'll be playing more of that interview.
